Paytm Mall launches learning programme for college students

India’s higher education system is a massive engine with 700 universities and 35,000 affiliated colleges enrolling over 20 million students every year. The country’s nation’s future leaders are groomed here, and we want to help them with an exciting and industry-focused learning experience.

Paytm Mall, owned by Paytm Ecommerce Pvt. Ltd has launched Campus Icon, a six-week nation-wide programme for college students.

Student participants will be assigned various tasks aimed at honing their skills. Our leadership will also mentor students on critical real-world techniques related to product, marketing, design among others via seminars and training material.

We will also facilitate tech adoption in tier II andas a part of this programme, enabling students to buy laptops at discounted prices. They can also recommend laptops and other educational products to their peers to earn added incentives as they develop their skills.

Top performers will be awarded internships and full-time job offers as they get an opportunity to work closely with our core team and get a chance to revolutionize the face of mobile commerce in India.

1. Am I eligible to become a Paytm Mall Campus Icon?

Any student pursuing an undergraduate or a postgraduate degree at any college or university in India or joining a campus on or before 7th August 2017 is eligible.

2. Are there different batches in which Campus Icons start the tasks?

All Campus Icons will be divided into 2 batches based on the date when they register.

3. What are the tasks of the Campus Icon?

The tasks will be divided into four broad categories —

 Brand Building — Generating awareness about Paytm Mall,

Paytm Code Adoption — Spreading awareness about QR Codes and influence peers to make a purchase using the same

Engagement — Organising buzz generation and other promotional activities in campus and on social media

Conversion — driving conversion across campus and fulfillment of marketing offers.

4. How will Paytm Mall Campus Icons be selected?

Applicants have to fill a form on campusicon.paytmmall.com. They have to fill in their details and upload scanned-copies of required ID proofs. The form also has two questions which will be used primarily for evaluating the candidature of the applicant.

5. When can I apply for the Paytm Mall Campus Icon programme?

You can register between July 1st and 31st on campusicon.paytmmall.com. Any changes in the timeline will be shared online.

6. By when can an applicant expect to know whether she/he has been selected a Campus Icon?

We’ll let you know within 7 working days of submitting the application.

7. How are Campus Icons evaluated?

Specific evaluation criteria and weightages will be shared with selected candidates via an e-mail.

8. When will the final results be announced?

The final results will be announced by October 5th.
